I met Shelbey and Christopher on my most recent trip to Portland, while on another photography assignment there. Side note, when I travel for photo assignments I sometimes squeeze in additional paid shoots by advertising on social media that I will be in said city, on said dates and so forth. Well Shelbey was one of the individuals who inquired about my ad, and I am so glad she did, because working with her and her husband was a complete joy. They were so adorable together and complete naturals in front of the camera, it was pretty easy to get amazing pictures, I couldn't have asked for a better client.
Shelby and her husband Christopher were pretty funny too, with Shelby being especially hilarious. She told me how when she had decided to look for a photographer for her maternity shoots, she had turned to instagram to look, with my ad coming up almost immediately. She stated how it was almost creepy how spot on the ad was with what she was looking for. I jokingly gave her a hard time for calling my ad a "little creepy", for being so on the mark. We all had a real good laugh out of that, and with that I knew it was going to be a good photo session.
And it was!
